A monthly IPTV subscription costs about $15 for one connection in 2026, and $25–$45 for two to five. It is the most expensive way to buy — roughly $70 a year more than the same connection on a twelve-month term — and it is still the right first purchase for everyone.
Monthly billing exists for two situations: you are testing a provider you have not committed to, or you only need the service for part of the year. Outside those two, you are paying a premium for flexibility you will not use.

$15 a month is $180 a year. The same connection on a twelve-month plan is $100 to $120. You are paying $60 to $80 for the right to leave — which is a reasonable price for month one and two, and a poor one for month twelve.
After two clean months. By then you have seen peak-hour load on several weekends, tested support at least once, and confirmed the provider did not vanish after taking your money. That is the moment the annual discount stops being a gamble.
Your first month with any provider. Always. A 24-hour trial cannot prove a service will still be trading in March, and a single month can.
Seasonal viewing. If you want it for four months of the year, monthly at $60 beats an annual plan at $100 without argument.
