Renew through the same billing account you originally bought from, before the expiry date, and your existing credentials keep working — no reinstall, no reconfiguration. Renew after it lapses and most providers restore the same line within minutes, though some issue new credentials you will need to enter again.
Disclosure: eight of the subscriptions on this page — TereaTV, FreeGoTV, VocoTV, BexyTV, KroozTV, ViewTVY, VinomTV and EarthWebTV — are operated by the same network that publishes this site, which is why we can publish verified plan figures for them. Everything else listed is a third-party service, flagged as unverified. How this affects our rankings.
Renewal is the step most people get wrong, because annual plans usually do not auto-renew. The service simply stops one evening, mid-programme, with no warning email.
Renew before the expiry date and nothing on your device changes.
Two ways this goes
The difference between these two columns is a reminder set a week early.
Renewed before expiry
Log into the same billing account you bought from
Buy the same plan again — same connections, same or longer term
New expiry date attaches to your existing line
Nothing on your device changes: same credentials, same favourites
No interruption, not even for a minute
Renewed after it lapsed
Service stops mid-evening with no warning email
You buy the plan again and wait for support
Ask them to restore the existing line rather than open a new one
Some providers issue fresh credentials instead
You re-enter them in the player and rebuild anything the app lost
Why here: Renew from the same billing account; the line and credentials carry over.
Strength: The steadiest peak-hour playback of the eight, and the six-month plan already hits $10 a month — you do not have to commit to a year to get the best rate.
Trade-off: The annual plan costs $120 while two rivals charge $100 for the same twelve months.
Why here: Client area shows the renewal date and the matching plan on one screen.
Strength: Extra devices cost $5 each rather than a full extra plan — six simultaneous streams is $40 a month, which works out to $6.67 per device, the lowest per-device rate here.
Trade-off: The six-month plan is $65 where TereaTV and ViewTVY charge $60 for the same term.
Why here: Straightforward store renewal — the same product, re-purchased against your account.
Strength: Installs from a short Downloader code (3864080), and extra devices are $5 each — the same per-device economics as VocoTV without the sideloading detour.
Trade-off: Fewer regional packs than TereaTV or FreeGoTV, and the six-month plan is $65 rather than $60.
Buy the same plan again through the account you paid with originally, then contact support with those account details and ask them to restore the existing line rather than open a new one. Most will, and the whole thing takes minutes rather than a day.
If new credentials are issued instead, you only need to enter them in your player. Favourites, layout and player settings live on your device, not on the line, so almost nothing is lost. What you cannot recover is the evening you spent troubleshooting instead of watching — which is the argument for the reminder.
Why annual plans catch people out
Most annual subscriptions in this market do not auto-renew. That is generally a good thing — no surprise charges, no dark patterns — but it means the service simply stops one evening, mid-programme, with no warning email beforehand.
Diary the expiry date on the day you buy, and set the reminder for a week early rather than the day itself. A week gives you time to renew, and time to decide whether you want to.
Renew, or move?
Renewal is the natural moment to reconsider, and three questions settle it. Did it hold up during peak hours across the whole term? Did support answer when you needed them? And is the renewal price the same as the new-customer price?
If the answer to the last one is no, ask. Most providers will match rather than lose a subscriber who has already proved they pay on time. It is the one moment in the relationship where you have leverage.
Do not stack terms
Renewing a year that has not expired yet, to lock in a price, extends your exposure without extending the discount. You end up with eighteen months of unused credit sitting with a provider whose future you cannot see.
Renew as the term ends. A week early is prudent; six months early is a loan.
Questions people ask before buying
How do I renew my IPTV subscription?
Log into the billing account you bought from, purchase the same plan again, and confirm the new expiry date is attached to your existing line.
Will I lose my settings when I renew?
No, if you renew before expiry — the credentials stay the same. After expiry, some providers issue new credentials that you re-enter in the player.
Do IPTV subscriptions renew automatically?
Usually not. Diary your expiry date when you buy, especially on a twelve-month plan.
Can I renew with a different plan?
Yes. Renewal is the easiest point to change connection count or term, and the best time to negotiate the price.
Will my favourites and settings survive a renewal?
Yes if you renew before expiry — the credentials do not change. After expiry, some providers issue new credentials and you re-enter them in the player; the player keeps most of its own settings.
Can I change plan at renewal?
Yes, and it is the easiest moment to do it. Changing connection count or term at renewal is a new purchase rather than a mid-term adjustment.
The bottom line
Diary the date, renew a few days early through the same account, and use the moment to ask whether the last twelve months earned the next twelve.
